Since starting this family tree project in 2009 more background to my mother’s side of the family has been discovered with the revelation that what my sister and I thought was going to be an Irish root turned out to be just one generation – our great grandfather who was born in Dublin to his father who was born in London.
These pages put the Muirden, Laing and Buckley backgrounds into the overall family picture with much information about my mother.
1) my mother Phyllis – her upbringing in Buenos Aires (BA), Aberdeen and Gillingham with a return to BA then, post WW 2,settling in Inverness where I was born. Following a family move to Herne Bay my Mum passed away in Canterbury in 1989.
2) and what I have discovered so far of the:-

Laing family line from 1800
Buckley family line from 1821
3) then bringing information about my mother and the Muirden, Laing and Buckley family lines together with the Penny connection in a Muirden, Laing, Buckley and Penny tree.
