Having thought the Muirden connection was firmly routed further north than Inverness – prospectively around Golspie – I found from Sylvia Jobson that the Alexander born around 1770/80 and married to Jane Gossip was a farmer and I have this week noticed she gave me an address of Auchreddie near Ellon, Aberdeenshire. That has moved the start point for the Muirden line in the same way that the start point for the Penny line is Auchterarder – not Buchan!
Google search results in a company called Mains of Auchreddie Renewables and an entry for Muirden Energy a renewable energy developer whose office address is Muirden Farm, Turriff. That farm is 15 miles from Nether Kinmundy.
Here is the Muirden family line back to my great x 4 grandfather – James born circa 1770/80.
